Osceola Community Health Services Announces Health Festival 2025

Kissimmee, FL. (MARCH 4, 2025) - Osceola Community Health Services (OCHS) is hosting Health Festival 2025 at Old Town Entertainment District, located at 5770 W. Irlo Bronson Highway, Kissimmee, Florida, on Sunday, April 13, 2025, from 11 AM to 3 PM. Powered by Kissimmee Utility Authority, the festival will provide community members with complimentary healthcare screenings. The event is free to the public, and people who register for a health screening enter for a chance to win passes for 4 to Fun Spot.

Health Festival 2025 aims to bring together resources that are located throughout Osceola County and Central Florida to solve barriers expressed by community members. Through collaboration, the event will showcase the importance of mobile health units. The community wellness day aims to improve the community's health through education and screenings. Attendees may register early to receive a health screening from OCHS program providers and staff. Staff and providers will perform blood pressure checks, schedule appointments for patients looking to meet with a primary care provider, eligibility screening, eye and dental screenings, child sports and student physicals, and mammograms. The One Blood mobile unit will be available for blood donations. Women will have the opportunity to complete a mammogram during the festival with 3DMobileMammography made possible through support from AdventHealth. OCHS partnered with K2 Med to offer attendees free memory screenings on its medical research mobile unit. The screening provides research and treatment options of depressive disorders in the chronic pain patient such as depression and anxiety.

"The first Health Festival in 2024 successfully facilitated over ten mammograms for women at no cost to them in addition to the several health screenings offerings," said Dr. Belinda Johnson-Cornett, Osceola Community Health Services Chief Executive Officer. "Now, more than ever, it is important for the community to collaborate to bring critical resources to the members of our community. Osceola County is a family-focused community, and Health Festival 2025 is a way to meet the whole family's health needs while allowing families to enjoy themselves together. Thanks to our sponsors and the participating vendors, we can produce a festival that families can safely enjoy while bringing awareness about community resources available throughout the county."

Sponsors for Health Festival 2025 include True Health, Toho Water, MarshMcLennan Agency, Florida Insurance Trust, RaceTrac, The Wawa Foundation, and Fun Spot. La Mega's Lynette Chico will host the event during the live remote broadcast. Iheartmedia's DJ Chino will provide music. The Chamber Foundation of The Osceola Chamber will bring STEM activities for youth. Attendees can connect with community resources from more than 25 government, non-profit, and for-profit organizations from Osceola County.

People may register for a health screening at Health Festival 2025 by going to the event page found here. If people are interested in other health screening types, they should select the "add-ons" from the menu. OCHS can offer a limited number of screenings due to the time available for the event. However, people may schedule an appointment during the festival to come to an OCHS clinic site at a later date. Old Town will provide free on-site parking and product giveaways from business vendors. To be considered for the 4 Fun Spot passes, people must be present and completed the health screening.
